Assistant Director of Facilities Services
The Assistant Director of Facilities Services assists in the management of the Facilities Operations Department by providing essential Facilities Management services to all campuses of Ringling College of Art and Design, either by in-house personnel or by service contracts. The Director provides management direction, guidance, and supervision to subordinate department personnel and exercises supervision and guidance on landscaping, custodial services, inventory management, customer service and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). The Director prepares and provides quality control for service contracts for various functions not performed with in-house personnel, as well as acts as safety manager for Facilities Operations Department.
The Assistant Director will manage service contracts, including but not limited to custodial, grounds, elevators and generators; manage in-house grounds and inventory personnel, including hiring, training and evaluation; responsible for inventory management, including procurement, tracking and storage; implementing and management of CMMS, as well as other software and databases used by Facilities Operations included, but not limited to, key management and contracts. They will be responsible for contract and vendor management, while assisting in development, negotiation, oversight, with management of contract specifications and vendor performance. The Director will attend training sessions and/or seminars as required to maintain or enhance skills needed for successful operation of Facilities Operations Department. This individual will serve as the department's Safety Officer with support from the Director of Environment Health and Safety.
The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in management of custodial and grounds, supervision of subordinates and project management through contracts, in customer service by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse constituencies and in both written and oral communication skills. The incumbent will have analytical and reasoning skills, ability to utilize a variety of software applications and systems related to facilities management, be proficient in MS Project, Word and Excel and ability to work additional hours and weekends as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of managerial experience relating to facilities and/or building management of complex facilities.
- Valid Florida Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISA Certified Arborist.
- CEFP, CFM or other related Facilities Management certification.
- Experience at an institution of higher education.
